We photographed Meagan & Cameron outside of Cary Street Cafe in Richmond. Then we traveled down to the Canal Walk downtown. It was a bit chilly out that day, but you’d never know by the smiles on their faces!
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We had Shaun’s family come in for a portrait in honor of  her grandmother’s 80th birthday. It was the first time they had done a large family portrait, aside from the typical group shots done at weddings. Jessica and Kevin got married on Jessica’s family farm in Hanover, Virginia. I always love photographing outdoor weddings, especially at old family homes. We have been making the composites for the Virginia Senate and House of Delegates for nearly a century now! A couple of years ago, the Senate of Virginia asked us to make a composite for their Page and Messenger program. If you don’t know about this program, you need to check it out here. The program is for 13 and 14 year old Virginians and they work directly with their Senators and Delegates for a whole session. It’s always so great meeting these young kids from all over the state who are so enthusiastic. We think they’ll do great things…we may even be voting for them someday!

Congratulations to Jessica and Kevin! They are getting married this May and wanted to have their engagement pictures done in downtown Richmond. We went to Shockoe Bottom and took advantage of all the great spots down there, including the Canal Walk, train tracks, and Main Street Station. Here are a few from that fun shoot!
